What Is Ogham? (pronounced Og-am, or Oh-am)
Ogham is a set of characters (feda) that are typically associated with specific trees and/or plants and is considered to represent an ancient system of knowledge. Most often used today for divination, each letter symbol has specific, and often complicated and multi-faceted, concepts associated with each one. It is my hope that by translating each letter's meaning into corresponding essential oil blends, the user can further explore the spiritual power of each symbol in a highly tangible and olfactory way, bringing the spirit of each selected symbol into their everyday, as a way to more intentionally work with the Ogham as one goes about their modern daily life.
How To Use Ogham Intention Oils
Our range of Ogham oils have been created as a way to tangibly engage with the Ogham by experiencing the depth of each letter symbol (feda) through scent. Our oils can be used as a perfume applied to the skin, dropped onto lava bead jewelry, for anointing candles, or used in any way that you might typically utilize aromatherapy oils personally.
Taking one of the Ogham Intention Oils as an example, Dair (D) is associated with the Oak tree, and symbolizes strength and endurance. But there is more to Dair than can be represented in a descriptive word or two. Aspects of stability, truth, longevity, strong foundations and great effort are also underpinning this character. Calling upon the aspects of Dair to set intentions based on the feda's traits, it can help connect you to your own inner strength and endurance, ensure that your motivations are true and help you to direct your personal power to get through life's challenges. So you might start your morning with a brief mediation calling upon Dair to give you the strength and endurance you need to meet current challenges as you apply the Dair Intention Oil to your temples and / or pulse points, or place a drop or two in a diffuser to scent the room, or on a candle that you light as you focus on that intention ...
Wearing the oil can help bring your attention back to your intentions throughout the day, reinforcing positive feelings of being supported in your wishes as you go about your everyday responsibilities. Applying a drop or two to lava jewelry, or keeping a rollerball handy to reapply whenever desired, is a great way to carry your intentions throughout the day. Applying a drop to your pillow at night (or a drop placed on a cotten ball and stashed into your pillowcase to avoid staining) can also be a great way to keep your intention work close at hand (or nose!).
About The Oils
Using the same example, working with the aspects of Duir we selected essential oils that would help support the intentions for strength and endurance and anchor Duir's concepts into an aromatherapeutic association. Oils such as Petitgrain (to reduce stress), Copaiba (to promote healing and alleviate pain), Cypress (to reduce anxiety), Cedarwood (to ground and calm), and Ravensara (to reduces faitgue and act an immune strengthener). Each blend is diluted with an organic carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil, almond oil, or hemp oil (please reference each oil for specific details on ingredients).
Additionally, each blend contains an essence or extract of the tree or plant with which it is associated. We use only organic or wildcrafted essential oils wherever possible and source all of our products from sustainable producers, and never use synthetic or B-grade products.
We also incorporate crystal and sound therapies into the crafting of these intention oils, using selenite to cleanse and purify and high frequency crystal sound to attune and raise consciousness and vibration, adding healing frequencies to the oil substrate.

There are 20 blends, each one associated with each letter symbol (feda) of the four main families (aicme) of the Ogham system. A brief notiation for each follows, but we invite you to explore each set of Aicme more fully on our product pages.
All of our essential and carrier oils are ethically and sustainably sourced, GC/MS tested and free from synthetics, chemicals, fragrances and fillers. Organic and wildcrafted oils are used whenever possible.
